2) Take advantage of the outdoors. You can argue that can be done at any time and that would not really need it in order to do so. It would be fair, however, you can take it hiking, bicycling, swimming, climbing and looking for a small reserve price. Most of us would not be addressing all of these things in the course of the afternoon. In other words, it's a way to experience the great outdoors only intensified.
3) Learn about others. Where you can find all kinds of treasures neat and clever. The idea is that if you take something you should leave something behind and create a journal. You learn about a lot of different people, by examining the treasures they have left and reading newspapers. You experience many different people from many different cultures as it seems to be a hobby rather universal, in which all ages and cultures hours spend hours to attend.
4) Being part of something larger than ourselves. I remember watching Treasure Hunters on NBC last summer. They were all off in search of a treasure guarded, but to obtain clues various destinations along the track. Geocaching might not have a million dollars in earnings, but there is little treasures along the way and many people are involved, which makes the hunt exciting and fun at the same time. By participating you are one of several people who will present the same strip of land and seeking the same treasure. It is a unifying experience in many ways, and can be exciting competitive.
